The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to educational management in the 21st century, including in the context of Islamic education. This study aims to analyze the implementation, obstacles, and strategies for optimizing the role of AI in Islamic education management while remaining grounded in Islamic values. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach through case studies of Islamic educational institutions that have implemented AI-based technology. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results show that AI contributes positively to improving management effectiveness, teacher work efficiency, and learning quality through a personalized system. However, AI implementation still faces obstacles in aspects of human resources, infrastructure, costs, resistance to change, and challenges related to ethics and data privacy. This study also found that optimizing AI in Islamic education management requires strengthening Islamic digital literacy, implementing a human-centered education approach, and multi-stakeholder collaboration between educational institutions, the government, and technology developers. With ethical implementation based on the maqashid sharia, AI has the potential to become a strategic instrument in modernizing Islamic education management oriented towards the benefit and the formation of perfect human beings
